WED has been supporting an innovative project called MOBILE UP! that helps immigrant service workers gain access to ESL curriculum on their mobile phones. The pilot project delivers industry-specific training on vocational English and other forms of upgrade skills for workers who have difficulty taking a class in a traditional setting due to disperse job placements or nature of work.
The MOBILE UP! pilot has delivered personalized coaching and learning to over 200 SEIU and UNITE-HERE members.
